Métis Dance "Basic Steps" is a video to help learn the traditional dances and music of our Métis heritage. Basic Steps first teaches the basic steps we dance to during our dances as well as the first part of our Red River Jig. This video teaches the 8 changes of the Red River Jig as well as the Reel of Four, Drops of Brandy, Duck Dance and the Reel of Eight. Métis Toe Tappers is a music CD devloped by the Edmonton Métis Dancers as a backup for when their fiddlers could not make the shows they had to perform at. On this CD we feature John Arcand and Gary Pruden who play the tunes that go with our traditional dances like: the Red River Jig , the Reel of Four, Drops of Brandy, Duck Dance and the Reel of Eight. Each of these tunes have been extended so we are able to dance a full set to each dance.

In this video we feature our Métis dance instructor Moise White who taught The Edmonton Métis Dancers their first five years.
